Andrea was born in Munich and completed high school there. She moved to Eichstätt, where she studied at the University of Eichstätt to become a primary school teacher. After successfully completing her degree, she did her traineeship at an elementary school in Friedberg (Bavaria) and she worked two years at a Montessori-school in Munich and acquired her Montessori-Diploma. Directly afterwards she worked for several years as a primary school teacher. 

Last Year Andrea, her husband, their four children and her dog moved to Naperville due to a career opportunity for her husband.
