Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Caroline, with a background in marketing, has always been captivated by the power of words, particularly in her native language German. In addition to her professional pursuits, Caroline has also taken on the role of an educator at home. She is raising her two young children bilingual, instilling in them a strong connection and love to their cultural heritage.

In 2012, she embarked on an adventure to the U.S. through the German/American Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) scholarship for young professionals. Since then, Caroline and her American husband have put down roots in the Chicago Suburbs. Their commitment to embracing cultural diversity extends to their oldest son, who is also enrolled in GLSN's Preschool Program, making the whole family proud members of the GLSN community.
