Daniela was born and raised in Germany and lived in Saarland, Freiburg, Mainz and Köln (Cologne) before moving to Chicago. She studied education with a double major in Adult Education/Training and Development and Social work at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz and the Universität Köln.

Daniela worked as a Seminar facilitator/Trainer and as a Social worker in Germany and in the US for many years as a German teacher/instructor, private tutor and interpreter. She served as a tutor at different institutions like the Goethe-Institut Chicago, the DANK School, the College of DuPage and private schools. Now she works as a fourth grade teacher at a private elementary school.
